The city that never fails to provide a good time will soon host our 3rd beer fest and we are very, very excited.
Here is the press release for the event. Please leave any questions via comment and we will get back to you. Also, if you blog or have a website, feel free to copy and paste this info and help spread the word. You can NEVER have too many people to drink good beer with.

All proceeds will benefit local charity New Vista Community.

Valentine's Day Gift Bags from Buckbean Brewing Company and Sweets Candy Company

So you skipped the crowded parking lots and ugly lines at the mall, scored some Christmas boxes at Buckbean, and got some presents that someone really appreciated. Good for you, and well deserved pat on the back!

But now another shopping conundrum looms ominously: Valentines Day!

No worries. Once again, Buckbean has you covered, with style and convenience. Working with our fine local chocolatier at Sweets candy company, we have created a fun and delicious gift idea for you.

Our Valentine gift bags contain 1 can each of our year round canned beers (OOBA, Tule Duck Red Ale, and Black Noddy Lager), each paired with 2 different gourmet truffles from Sweets, and a Buckbean pint glass to share the beer. This isn't just candy for Valentine's, this is an amazing, decadent, intimate tasting experience that will truly enhance your Valentine pleasures.

Enjoy a floral lavender truffle, and a sweet and spicy chocolate-chili truffle with the bright and aromatic OOBA; a savory sea salt caramel and a black cherry truffle with the full, herbal Tule Duck Red Ale; a cappuccino truffle and a hazelnut truffle with the smoky, smooth Black Noddy Lager, all for just $18.

And the best part is, you get to do your shopping at your favorite brewery!

The bags are available for purchase at the brewery. And while you're at it, you can sample some of our tasty brews on tap, including the return of Adaven IPA!

Some great reviews, OR, and Vegas baby

Goin' Down to Vegas!
We are burned out on the gray skies, the snow, the rain, and the overall gloom of the winter weather here in Reno. That's why, once again, we are in the midst of planning another beer festival in Las Vegas out at MonteLago Village!
We have confirmed almost 10 breweries so far, including Stone Brewing Company, Sonoran Brewing Company, Boulder Dam Brewing, and Tenaya Creek!
The date for the festival is March 13th. If you or any breweries/brewers you know would be interested in attending, please drop me a line!
This time last year the festival had more than 2,000 people attend. If you live in the Vegas area or are planning a trip around St. Patty's Day please keep this event in mind!

New Reviews!
We have recently received some great reviews online from several bloggers we would like to thank and re-post on here.

Buckbean in Oregon!

Owner Doug Booth was first inspired to open a brewery based on his visit to the Oregon Brewer's Festival in 1988. Now he has the satisfaction of knowing his beer is located in the very city that spiked his curiosity and obsession with beer to being with!
Buckbean is the only Nevada beer currently sold in Oregon.

Bon Appétit Feature!

Bon Appétit, one of the most respected and widely read food and entertainment publications, recently put the spotlight on America’s canned craft beer industry, showcasing their “Top 10 Artisanal Canned Beers”. The write-up featured globally recognized breweries such as New Belgium Brewing Company, Oskar Blues and 21st Amendment, giving each a small description and image.

Buckbean is beyond honored and flattered to be featured in this line-up. It hasn't ran in print yet, but please check it out! This should help us expand even quicker than we are planning.

Very Noddy Lager

We've got a new beer on tap at the brewery!
Come down and try the VERY Noddy Lager. This Imperial Schwarzbier has twice the malt and hops of our Black Noddy Lager, creating a deep black color, rich, nutty malt flavors and a smooth hop bite. A symphony of balanced intensity!

Plus, Dan, our brewmaster, made it specially for Doug on his birthday. We think that's pretty adorable.

Don't forget to come down and ask about our great holiday gift packages! Who doesn't love to please your wallet, friends, and taste buds with the great deals we have on gift packages.
